— an initiative designed to bolster our joint global research impact.

About QUEX

Themed around fostering global sustainability and wellbeing, this Symposium is an important opportunity to reflect on global interests, and to explore key challenges as we move towards a cleaner, healthier and happier future.

Current initiatives

Submit a PhD project proposal

Seeking research project proposals from sets of UQ/Exeter academic staff who can demonstrate a capacity to work collaboratively. Proposals will fit the interdisciplinary themes of the QUEX partnership: healthy ageing; physical activity and nutrition; and environmental sustainability.

Professional staff exchange

The QUEX Professional Services Staff Fellowship program is designed to provide professional development opportunities and to share best practice and experience between professional colleagues at UQ and the University of Exeter.

QUEX PhD studentship program

The PhD studentship is a flagship initiative of the QUEX Institute. It aims to recruit the very best students, to work across the University of Exeter and The University of Queensland, towards joint degrees. The scheme pays full fees and a stipend, as well as a generous training and travel fund.
