The University of Queensland and the University of Exeter have partnered to establish the QUEX Institute, a new initiative designed to bolster our joint global research impact.

The partnership will strengthen a joint commitment to co-produce research of the highest quality, boost industry and business collaboration, and publish high-level policy reports designed to inform and shape key government initiatives across the globe.

PhD program

Through the QUEX joint PhD program, you can receive a scholarship to study at two leading universities on projects linked with the virtual QUEX Institute of Global Sustainability and Wellbeing.

QUEX Initiator Grants Scheme

The QUEX Initiator Grants Scheme is designed to broaden academic and research collaboration between UQ and the University of Exeter. Up to nine grants will be available.


QUEX Professional Services Exchange Program

Up to four professional staff per institution will be awarded to undertake an exchange of up to two weeks to share best practice and experience between UQ and the University of Exeter.
