Erasmus+ Scholarships for Staff Mobility for Teaching or Training at Technical University of Munich

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites University of Queensland academic and professional staff to apply for grants for teaching or training purposes, made available by the European Union under the international dimension of the Erasmus+ program.

The following activities can be funded for a minimum 5 day, maximum 12-day period (excluding travel days):

  • Staff mobility foteaching (STA) for academic staff. Research initiatives cannot be funded however an approved teaching grant can also be combined with associated research activities. At least eight hours of lectures must be held at TUM per week or part of a week. Teaching means here any documented activities such as talks, lectures, seminars, working groups, etc., which are aimed at students. They may be undergraduate, graduate or PhD students.
  • Staff mobility for training (STT) for academic and administrative staff. This may be in form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at the partner institution.
  • Combined staff mobility for teaching and training (STA/STT) is also possible. Academic staff may propose a reduced teaching activity of 4 hours per week, if the teaching is combined with a training activity.

The overseas stay must occur between April 2020 and June 2021.

Staff who have previously been awarded a TUM Erasmus+ staff mobility grant need not apply.

TUM has been identified under the UQ Global Strategy as a premier partner and UQ is keen to expand engagement across discipline areas. For more information about current collaboration and partnership initiatives, please contact the UQ Global Engagement and Entrepreneurship office at globalstrategy@uq.edu.au.
