Niura has been involved with International Development in multiple roles since 2016 and is currently a Development Coordinator for the team.

She brings extensive skills in project management and coordination of training activities to her role as Development Coordinator in particular in the South Pacific and South West Asia where she coordinated the three-year long Precinct Leadership Program, a joint initiative by Australia and Papua New Guinea governments and is currently coordinating the DFAT funded Precinct Tracer Study project (PNG) and the Australia Awards Women in Executive Leadership Development Short Course for a cohort of Bhutanese public servants.

Prior to her appointment with UQ International Development, she provided administrative and program implementation support to a number of Brisbane-based non-governmental organisations in the housing and disability sector.

Niura has a Masters in Development Practice and a BA in Languages and Applied Linguistics. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
