Thoa joined the International Development team as a Development Coordinator in 2017. Currently, Thoa is a Senior Development Coordinator with a focus on Indonesia and Southeast Asia region.

Thoa’s professional experiences have a strong focus on tertiary education and training management. Her key expertise areas are program and project management, business operations management, funding application and tender, funding contract management, tertiary education provider registration and compliance management, student services (international and domestic tertiary students, apprenticeship and traineeship), budget management and acquittal reports, and event management.

Thoa has worked at tertiary institutions in Vietnam and Australia, the United Nations office, and the Queensland Department of Education and Training.

During her role as a Development Coordinator at the International Development team, Thoa coordinated short-term training programs in Indonesia, Bhutan, Vietnam, and Africa in various expertise including Public-Private Partnerships, Governance and Leadership in Universities, Corporate University, Journalism in Extractive Industry, Women in Executive Leadership, and Humanitarian Action. In particular, Thoa also designs and oversees Mentoring component of short courses, facilitate mentoring activities, and acts as a Mentor to guide participants in their application of Award Projects/Return to Work Plans.
