The Fulbright Professional scholarship allows mid-career professionals in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors to undertake training or research programs in the U.S.  This scholarship is also open to mid-career academics whose primary research has industry links.

The Fulbright Senior scholarship is for senior level academics (at Associate Professor or full Professor level) to undertake research at a U.S. institution. This may include: Scholars of established reputation working in an academic institution who teach and undertake research or senior members of academically-based professions who are currently engaged in the private practice of their profession.

The Distinguished Chair Program is viewed as among the most prestigious appointments in the Fulbright Scholar Program.  Scholars will work with K-State faculty in priority research areas that lead to ongoing collaborative partnerships between Australia and K-State – partnerships which develop skills and capabilities in Agricultural and Life Sciences and which result in a stronger bilateral relationship between Australia and the United States.
