Erasmus+ Scholarships for Staff Mobility for Teaching or Training at Technical University of Munich

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites University of Queensland staff to apply for grants for teaching or training purposes, made available by the European Union under the international dimension of the Erasmus+ program.

Program options include:

The overseas stay must occur between April 2018 and June 2019.

In support of your existing collaborations, you are encouraged to discuss an application for Erasmus+ funding with your key academic counterpart at TUM. A letter of invitation from a TUM staff member​ is required as part of the application.

Supported initiatives

Applications that support the following initiatives will be highly regarded:

  • build on existing collaborations
  • strengthen engagement between faculty members and researchers for the purposes of teaching and training
  • progress the development of early career research training programs
  • encourage the establishment or expansion of existing double degree programs.

In support of your existing collaborations, you are encouraged to discuss an application for Erasmus+ funding with your key academic counterpart at TUM.

Erasmus+ funding is not available to support participation in symposia or conferences.

Funding details

  • 120 € per day (from the 15th day 84 € per day)
  • 1100 € travel expenses

The TUM coordinator will specify the exact amount and provide more detailed information to the accepted staff member in an Erasmus+ Grant Agreement.

Please be aware that the Erasmus+ Program provides no insurance. It is the staff member’s responsibility to insure themselves for the whole duration of the stay (medical, accident and liability insurance). UQ staff who receive Erasmus+ funding will be eligible for insurance while undertaking authorised UQ business. Please see Governance and Risk for further details.

Eligibility criteria

UQ academic and professional staff members who can obtain official authorisation of business travel.

How to apply

  1. Subscribe to the UQ-TUM Mailing List to receive official announcements and updates regarding the scheme. Please contact UQ Global Engagement at to be added to this list.
  2. Familiarise yourself with the guidelines and application form.
  3. Complete the application form and organise the documents listed below.
  4. Submit your completed application to the UQ Global Engagement Office at by 18 February 2018. The application form should be submitted in PDF format, complete with all relevant attachments as a single document. 

Your application must include the following documents:

  • application form including project description and time schedule
  • copy of ID/Passport
  • CV
  • a letter of invitation from a TUM staff member
  • proof of UQ employment

Please note that no direct applications to TUM will be accepted.
