ETH Zurich Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) hosts the Society in Science - The Branco Weiss Fellowship and has invited applications from eligible UQ applicants. The Fellowship is a unique postdoc program that funds early career researchers to undertake research projects for up to five years on their chosen topic, at a host institution anywhere in the world.

The program is aimed at postdoctoral researchers after their PhD and before their first faculty appointment to undertake research on unconventional projects in new areas of life and natural sciences, engineering, medicine and social sciences.  The value of the award is CHF100,000 per year (approx. AUD132,000) for up to five years. The program aims at awarding up to ten fellowships each year.

UQ-São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) Strategic Research Fund
Deadline 30 January 2017

This scheme supports scientific and technological cooperation between UQ researchers and researchers from the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. FAPESP will provide funding of up to the equivalent of AU$10,000 per successful proposal and UQ will provide funding of up to AU$10,000 per successful proposal, for the duration of the grant (up to 12 months), to cover research-related mobility expenses.

Erasmus+ Scholarships for Staff Mobility for Teaching or Training at Technical University of Munich (Round 1)

The Technical University of Munich invites University of Queensland staff to apply for grants for teaching or training purposes, made available by the European Union under the international dimension of the Erasmus+ program. TUM has been identified under the UQ Global Strategy as a priority partner and UQ is keen to expand engagement across discipline areas.

The University of Vienna Non-EU Teaching Mobility Program
Deadline 1 February 2017

The University of Vienna has announced the 6th call of its Non-EU Teaching Mobility Program. The program supports short-term teaching visits of faculty members from partner universities outside of Europe. A number of UQ staff have been successful in attaining teaching mobility grants in previous rounds.
