Last month, 18 Indonesian Government officials honed their ability to communicate project outcomes with a short course on Project Report Writing at The University of Queensland (UQ).
The short course was delivered by the Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE-UQ) International Development team (UQID), with funding from the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) under the World Bank’s Program for Strengthening Reforming Institutions or ‘SPIRIT’ program.

The training program, which was led by former Queensland Minister for Finance and The Arts, Minister for Natural Resources, and Minister for Transport Rachel Nolan, built on UQID’s strong reputation in Indonesia for providing high-quality, tailored short courses for Indonesian Government agencies.

The course combined content on research methods, project monitoring and evaluation for international donor agencies, measuring and reporting on policy and financial outcomes in government contexts, and English structure and grammar.
During the two weeks, participants applied their learning by preparing a project report and benchmarked report writing approaches with Queensland Treasury and the Department of State Development Major Projects Division.
